Deutsche Post DHL Group Presents the First GoTrade Summit Report
27. June 2022After the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted many exhibitors last year, Logimat celebrated an even greater success with its comeback this year. With its first appearance at the Stuttgart fair, Addverb Technologies, an Indian company specializing in intralogistics automation, was able to convince the European market of its innovative products and solutions.
(Stuttgart) “The intralogistics sector is currently experiencing a real boom. This particularly affects the area of automation in, for example, retail and e-commerce,” explains Pieter Feenstra, CEO of the EMEA region at Addverb Technologies. The trade fair appearance was a complete success for him and the company. With a high visitor turnout of around 50,000 industry professionals, it was the ideal time to present new products in the core business of robotics. In addition to various fixed automation solutions, the new “Zippy” was proudly presented. This ultra-fast sorting robot autonomously transports itself and its load through the warehouse, is extremely flexible, and is perfectly suited for scalable operations. The “Zippy” performs 100% accurate sorting at the SKU level with up to 20,000 sorts per hour. The payload capacities vary depending on the model between 6 and 100 kg.
Rapid Growth
Founded in 2016, the company quickly conquered the Indian market and has already established itself as one of the market leaders. With the newly appointed CEO of the EMEA region and the trade fair appearance in Stuttgart, Addverb Technologies now aims to establish itself quickly in Europe as well. In February of this year, the first European office opened at the Dutch Tech Campus in Zoetermeer (near The Hague) – a showroom will soon be created here where customers can view the latest technologies on-site.
Pieter Feenstra is convinced – the company sees great potential in the steadily growing EMEA market. With their tailored and innovative solutions, Addverb Technologies can work directly with retailers and online merchants or expand their business through partnerships with contract logistics providers.
Pieter Feenstra has been active in the logistics industry for many years. For over 30 years, he worked in various countries (Holland, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Benelux) for the international corporation Swisslog. This was followed by a position at Körber Supply Chain in Portugal and North America. Due to his excellent qualifications and valuable network, he recently came into contact with the rapidly growing Indian robotics company Addverb Technologies. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed CEO of the EMEA region. With Feenstra, the company has now secured an experienced manager who is strategically driving market expansion.
