29. June 2022leogistics GmbH, a driver of future supply chain management, and GateHouse Maritime, a provider of visibility and predictability services for maritime supply chains, announce their collaboration. By enriching the logistics platform myleo / dsc with the comprehensive data from GateHouse’s OceanIO, leogistics can now offer its customers full transparency regarding sea transports.
(Hamburg) The myleo / dsc addresses various challenges of collaboration among actors in complex supply chain networks, while OceanIO provides the data foundation. Both partners aim to deliver an API and a backend, including the preparation of data structures with integrated container data and data visualization, to their customers by the second quarter of 2022.
“Digitalization and changes in communication present a significant opportunity for more integrated service and higher customer satisfaction today. To achieve this, we need to rethink collaboration in the business and logistics world. Through the partnership with GateHouse Maritime, we can further enhance the capabilities of myleo / dsc. Additionally, we are getting closer to our goal of creating an easy-to-use, efficient, and future-proof platform for logistical processing and collaboration across all industries and modes of transport,” says Michael Rölli, Co-Head of Product and Solution Management myleo / dsc.
“Alliances have never been more important than they are today. Companies are increasingly turning to manufacturers and service providers to overcome integration hurdles, reduce complexity, and increase efficiency in daily operations. The exciting new collaboration with leogistics enriches myleo / dsc with the capabilities of OceanIO – the industry’s most comprehensive ocean database – thereby enabling a higher level of transparency and predictability regarding goods on global transport routes,” says Martin Dommerby Kristiansen, CEO GateHouse Maritime.
Permanent Overview of Data
As part of the agreement between the two companies, GateHouse Maritime will provide leogistics with Ocean Visibility and Prediction Services, including container tracking, vessel tracking, and ETA forecasting. OceanIO serves as the foundation for predictive services, such as the position and movements of containers and cargo, where they are in the customs clearance cycle, and when they will arrive. myleo / dsc customers can utilize the provided data to simplify their inbound and outbound processes, automate complex yard and port processes, and improve communication with partners in the supply chain regarding the status of containers in transit.
The partners cooperate with the common goal of delivering an interface and a backend, including the preparation of data structures with integrated container data and data visualization, within their services by the second quarter of 2022. Additionally, they will link container numbers with business documents (e.g., SAP documents, bill of lading numbers), enable multimodal transport sections, provide map-based data visualization, and offer current information on port congestion.
Connecting All Supply Chain Partners on a Single Platform
The myleo / dsc is a unique cloud platform for factory and transport logistics. By utilizing real-time data, the cloud software simplifies yard, delivery, and transport management in a single user-centric Process-as-a-Service solution that connects producers, suppliers, warehouses, freight forwarders, and stores into a holistic supply chain network.
Furthermore, myleo / dsc offers transparency and visibility services with a variety of data such as alerts, maps, inventory, or status, which are consolidated and flexibly displayed on a dashboard. Additionally, the platform includes a powerful status and event management system that allows users to granularly model and control both planned and unplanned events that affect logistics processes daily. A connectivity service integrates customer data sources and formats as well as upstream and downstream warehouse or transport management systems to create the appropriate data foundation.
