30. June 2022The charity initiative Logistics in Motion is entering its third round after its successes in the past two years. This year’s edition of the independent initiative begins on July 1, 2022. It calls on logistics-related companies and their employees across Germany to raise donations for a good cause by engaging in sports activities.
(Munich) In 2021, the initiative collectively covered over 87,000 kilometers, raising more than 77,500 euros for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. This year’s event is overshadowed by the death of the foundation’s founder, Martina Münch-Nicolaidis, who passed away on June 26 after a long illness.
The foundation, which offers targeted counseling and long-term support for young mourners nationwide, is now in mourning itself. Karin and Kuno Neumeier from Logivest GmbH, the initiators of “Logistics in Motion,” still wish to launch the charity event on July 1. “Martina tirelessly worked for the goals of the foundation; she was an inspiration and a loving companion to so many people. She would be the first to ask us to continue,” says Karin Neumeier, a board member of the foundation. Therefore, her call to all participating companies: “Let’s collect kilometers again, in honor of Martina Münch-Nicolaidis.”
Proceeds Go to the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation
The proceeds will go 100 percent to the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. The donations are intended to support the foundation’s daily work and ensure grief counseling.
“Martina Münch-Nicolaidis created her life’s work with the foundation, supporting so many people in their hardest times. Continuing to support this work, especially now, is particularly important to us – and certainly an additional sporting motivation for the employees. We sincerely hope that many more companies will join our initiative and that Logistics in Motion can help with substantial donations in 2022,” says Kuno Neumeier, CEO of Logivest.

In addition to Logivest, several other companies have already pledged their support for 2022: Baytree Deutschland GmbH, Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH, Headgate GmbH, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics SE & Co. KG, mainblick – Agency for Strategy and Communication GmbH, Neovia Logistics Germany GmbH, P3 Logistic Parks GmbH, teamtosse GmbH, and Wilogs.
Every Kilometer Counts
Here’s how Logistics in Motion works: Each company decides how much it wants to reward each kilometer covered by its employees through sports activities. It doesn’t matter whether they run, cycle, hike, swim, row, ride, or play golf – every kilometer counts. All activities are documented with photos or screenshots from pedometers or fitness apps and can be posted both internally and publicly using the hashtag #LogisticsInMotion. To generate as much attention as possible, Logivest will again provide its Instagram channel for the initiative, which will be taken over by “Logistics in Motion” starting Friday and filled with photos and information from all participating companies.
The initiative starts on July 1 and runs until September 30, 2022. Companies wishing to participate in the initiative can find more information at:
