Swedish LNG Ship Completes Maiden Call in Lübeck
18. July 2022In-house logistics is a success factor – if one recognizes its potentials and then draws the right conclusions. However, this is a significant challenge for many companies: What does the status quo look like, what goals should be achieved with warehouse optimization, and what measures are necessary? LogBer GmbH has developed a fixed-price offer with the LagerLIGHT planning, which allows companies to receive an analysis of the current state and possible future scenarios of their intralogistics in a very short time.
(Ahrensburg) “From our experiences over the last 25 years, we know that optimization opportunities in intralogistics are often not utilized or only inadequately. But especially here, enormous costs can be saved and processes made more efficient,” explains Dr. Kai Semrau, Senior Consultant at LogBer. Reasons that prevent companies from restructuring their logistics include a lack of expertise in intralogistics or the fear of high costs associated with consulting by an expert. “This is exactly where we come in with the LagerLIGHT planning. Because with us, the customer receives a professional analysis of the existing logistics and a rough concept of what it could look like in the future. And that in a fixed-price package,” adds Semrau.
LagerLIGHT Planning Combines Current Analysis with Target Concept
The LagerLIGHT planning is divided into two phases. First, the experts from LogBer analyze the current intralogistic state: data is collected and compared with benchmarks, logistical key figures are determined, and growth factors are aligned. Additionally, planning restrictions are established, potentials are identified, and goals are defined. From this, the conception of a rough concept is derived in Phase Two: storage and conveyor technology are defined, various storage variants are planned, compared, and recommendations are made. Furthermore, the customer receives a cost overview and a milestone plan.
LogBer Acts as a Bridge Between Companies and System Providers
The LagerLIGHT planning is completed within two months. “Our offer is the streamlined start to optimizing internal logistics,” explains Malte Kröger, Managing Director at LogBer, who also sees himself as a bridge builder between companies and system providers: “We observe that companies sometimes work with consultants in logistics or project management who develop elaborate consulting presentations without really engaging the customer. Much is difficult to comprehend due to complexity and technical jargon. We communicate on an equal footing and act as intermediaries between providers and our customers, who ultimately want tangible solutions for acute challenges,” says Kröger, emphasizing that the best solutions always arise from long-term, trusting partnerships.
