DAKOSY has been on the market for 40 years
22. August 2022The head of the Saxon State Chancellery and State Minister for Federal Affairs and Media, Oliver Schenk, visited the Zwickau logistics service provider WP Holding on August 18. He was accompanied by the Zwickau member of the state parliament, Jan Löffler.
(Zwickau) The visit of State Minister Schenk is part of his tour to medium-sized enterprises in Saxony to gather information about the wishes and concerns of the system-relevant middle class. Schenk agreed with the management of WP Holding that the significance of Saxony as a regional economic area must be emphasized more strongly. “The key to the further economic development of Saxony lies in intensified cooperation with our Polish and Czech neighbors,” Schenk emphasized.
Other topics included attracting young talent in the logistics sector, improved and facilitated integration of refugees into the labor market, the revision of the European Battery Regulation, as well as the opportunities and challenges of German and European funding guidelines.
“WP has been deeply rooted in the industrial state of Saxony for many years, but has always maintained a view beyond the borders, which is why exchanging ideas with the state government is particularly important to us,” emphasizes Doreen Paesold-Runge, managing director of WP Holding. “We are very pleased about the visit of the state minister and the further exchange, and we would also be happy to welcome Prime Minister Kretschmer at some point,” adds Heiko Nowak, managing director of WP Holding.
