Jungheinrich Launches EFG Entry Models
12. September 2022Successful completion of the expansion building in Efringen-Kirchen, ongoing revenue and company growth, as well as the expansion of the product portfolio – ACITO LOGISTICS GmbH presents a positive mid-year balance.
(Weil am Rhein) A new milestone for the logistics service provider: The expansion building with 2,000 sqm in Efringen-Kirchen has been successfully completed. In April 2018, the logistics center of Acito Logistics GmbH was established at the location in Efringen-Kirchen, specializing in logistics solutions for companies from Germany and Switzerland. Due to the persistently high demand for logistics solutions, the 2,000 sqm expansion building, which was already planned for summer 2020, was completed on time and without additional costs in July of this year after just 10 months of construction. With the expansion, the provider of global supply chain solutions now has nearly 20,000 square meters of storage and logistics space.
Expansion Building Opens New Opportunities
With the new expansion building, the logistics company in Efringer Schlöttle now has not only more space available. At the same time, the prerequisites have been created to offer the entire logistics range from a single source in the future, thus further expanding the product portfolio. “With the newly created business area ‘Hospitality & Retail’, we offer our customers not only the management of complex transport and value-added chains but also additional value-added services such as assembly, handling, picking, packaging, and customs clearance. A complex end-to-end logistics solution that naturally requires spatial capacities but also specialized know-how, which Acito Logistics has specialized in over the past years,” explains Francesco Grieco, Managing Director of Logistics and Corporate Development at Acito Logistics.
High Expertise, Customer Orientation, and Innovative Products as Growth Drivers
The dynamics of the company is evident not only in the steady revenue growth since 2018 but also in the development of the number of employees. While there were still 25 employees at the founding in 2014, the workforce has since grown to 85 employees, including 12 trainees and 2 dual students at DHBW. The logistics location in Efringen-Kirchen now has a total of 40 employees.
“Growth drivers are, in addition to logistics, primarily the sea and air freight business, where Acito Logistics can score points in the market with great expertise and excellent customer service,” says Ralf Albrecht, Managing Director of Finance and Overseas.
Tailored Training on Complex Customs and Logistics Issues Completes the Product Portfolio
What documents are needed for a customs inspection? When, where, and how must goods movements be reported? “These and other questions regarding cross-border goods traffic pose significant challenges for companies,” explains Patric Galley, Managing Director of Customs & Transport at Acito Logistics GmbH.
In this context, Acito Logistics GmbH has been offering the so-called “Simulated Customs Inspection” for some time now. The latest product of the ‘Training & Consulting’ business area is the “Customs Beginner Course”. A self-developed training module in which companies from all industries involved in international trade are introduced to the basics of cross-border goods traffic in 12 x 2 teaching hours. “The new training module is very well received in the region. Specifically, this topic affects about 4 out of 5 companies here,” says Galley. The next course starts on 04.10.2022.
