Panattoni develops in Poland for BestSecret Group

Panattoni, a project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, has started construction on the Panattoni Park Sulechów III located in Poland. The modern logistics property in Sulechów is already fully leased to the online provider of discounted premium and luxury fashion, BestSecret, based in Aschheim near Munich, before construction has even begun. Together with the mayor of the municipality of Sulechów and representatives from BestSecret, Panattoni laid the foundation stone for the new park in September.

(Sulechów, PL) The property has a total usable area of 88,500 m², including 46,500 m² of hall space, 29,500 m² of mezzanine space, and 10,500 m² of office space. There is also the possibility of an extension by an additional 42,000 m². BestSecret delivers goods to 27 European countries, and the location in Sulechów will play a central role in the company’s supply chain. The company plans to supply each of its markets from the Panattoni Park and create new jobs in the region. The property will be handed over to the new user in stages between January and June 2023.

A key advantage of the Polish Panattoni Park Sulechów III is its proximity to the German border, which is just over an hour away from the logistics property under construction. Additionally, the capital of the Voivodeship, Zielona Góra, is only 30 minutes away. This is an important advantage for long-term access to the workforce. Less than 7 km from the site, the S3 expressway runs along the western border, and Zielona Góra-Babimost Airport is just 11 km from the property.

In terms of sustainable development, the property will have a BREEAM certification in the “Excellent” category. To achieve this, the property must meet high standards in energy efficiency, including complex measurement systems and intelligent lighting. To consider the social sustainability aspect, the well-being of future employees will be a focus. The building will provide better access to natural light in the offices and ensure appropriate room acoustics. Additionally, Panattoni will provide facilities for cyclists and charging stations for electric vehicles on the logistics center’s site and strive to preserve local biodiversity.

Panattoni recently handed over another project in the fashion segment to the Polish fashion label Tatuum in Łódź. The developer is also realizing several extensive real estate projects in the fashion sector in Germany. Among other things, a new building with around 62,000 m² of total usable area and high requirements for intralogistics processes was created for the fashion brand Peek & Cloppenburg in Bedburg, North Rhine-Westphalia. Furthermore, in March of this year, Panattoni celebrated the groundbreaking for the Panattoni Park Würzburg East with the internationally operating fashion and lifestyle company s.Oliver, in which s.Oliver will occupy an area of around 78,000 m². In Euskirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Panattoni handed over a logistics center to the logistics service provider dadada GmbH in 2019. This company ships for the lifestyle company Fond Of, whose product universe includes backpack and bag brands such as PinqPonq, Aevor, ergobag, and Affenzahn, from Euskirchen to over 35 countries worldwide.
