New Features in Training Software for Warehouse Logistics
27. September 2022The QUANTRON AG, a German expert in emission-free BEV and FCEV transport solutions, and ETO Motors Private Limited from Hyderabad, India, plan to collaborate for both the Indian and European markets. Both parties signed a corresponding agreement at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover.
(Hanover) ETO, a company providing electric mobility solutions and services for the first and last mile as well as for commuters within cities, will support QUANTRON in the development and approval of QUANTRON trucks, last-mile transporters, and buses by the relevant authorities in India and other countries on the Indian subcontinent as part of the partnership. Furthermore, ETO will be the sole distribution partner for all QUANTRON vehicles and technologies in this area. QUANTRON will also grant ETO access to its existing retrofit kits for converting combustion engines to electric vehicles and assist ETO in designing and developing Indian versions of these kits with Indian pricing and Indian licenses and approvals. In this context, the two cooperation partners will particularly promote the development of BEV and possibly FCEV retrofit kits aimed at applications in the global market – trucks, buses, or even trains (for FCEV), depending on costs and feasibility.
The collaboration also aims at the introduction of vehicles and infrastructures with H2 technology (e.g., tanks, fueling stations, and electrolyzers) through collaboration or import/export of technologies between the countries. Additionally, both parties will also work together on developing new battery/energy solutions to be used in vehicles/products in their respective regions and countries. They will also support each other in sharing a technology platform that includes ecosystem connectivity, IoT, fleet management solutions, location-based services, route management, energy, charging, and location-based services.
The companies plan to finalize binding agreements in Q4/2022.
