September 2022With a new logistics center, the Danish logistics company DSV is further establishing itself in the Stuttgart/Heilbronn region and is celebrating the topping-out ceremony for a logistics facility in Möckmühl. The modern multi-user facility will be completed in spring 2023 and will support the strong DSV network in the future.
(Bremen/Möckmühl) With the topping-out ceremony, the logistics service provider DSV Solutions celebrated an important milestone in the construction of its new state-of-the-art logistics center in Heilbronn-Franken yesterday. On an area of 134,000 m², a hall with a total of 52,500 m² of storage space, 7,500 m² of mezzanine, and 2,500 m² of office space is being built.
Strongly Positioned in the Region
In the strong economic area around Möckmühl, DSV is establishing itself as a long-term tenant in the logistics center, thereby investing even more in the region. Michael Eder, Senior Director Operations, DSV Solutions GmbH: “We are excited to grow even further with the new location. Here in the Stuttgart-Heilbronn area, DSV is already well-networked, and from now on we can respond even better to the individual needs of our customers. I am particularly pleased that this location, with its wide range of services, is so versatile.”
DSV already operates logistics locations in the surrounding areas of Neuenstadt a.K., Heilbronn, Kornwestheim, Schwieberdingen, and Vaihingen an der Enz. The location of the new site is excellently connected to the transport infrastructure due to its proximity to highways, Stuttgart and Frankfurt airports, as well as the container terminals in Heilbronn and Kornwestheim.
Sustainability is a Priority
The multi-user facility, which will open in spring 2023, meets current sustainability standards and is designed to be particularly energy-efficient: In addition to complying with the KfW-40 standard, a large photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof areas, along with energy-saving LED lighting. Furthermore, a Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is being pursued.
