Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer QUANTRON Expands to North America
Oct 11, 2022 at 5:13 PMHellmann Worldwide Logistics and its long-standing partner company ATS-Hellmann Worldwide Logistics AG have decided to transfer their air and sea freight activities in Switzerland to Hellmann (newly established: Hellmann Worldwide Logistics AG). The employee base will be taken over. Kathrin Kuske remains the managing director.
(Osnabrück/Kloten) With the establishment of its own Swiss subsidiary, Hellmann will fully take over the services previously provided by ATS-Hellmann in the field of international air and sea freight at the beginning of 2023, thus creating the conditions to strategically further expand its product portfolio and market presence in Switzerland.
Since 1991, ATS-Hellmann has been the operational unit for air and sea freight transport in Switzerland and has been integrated as an independent partner in the global Hellmann network. From January 1, 2023, the previous business activities and the employee base – still under the management of managing director Kathrin Kuske – will be transferred to the newly established Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Switzerland. Additionally, a distinguished expert, Manfred Schellhammer, has been appointed as the chairman of the board for the Swiss subsidiary. Hellmann will remain in partnership with the ATS Group and will continue to utilize their service offerings, including in the area of air freight handling. Both companies see this step as a consistent continuation of the long-standing partnership with different focus activities in the future.
Sustainably Strengthening Market Presence in Switzerland
“The establishment of the Swiss subsidiary is another milestone for us in the strategic development of the Hellmann network in Europe, and we look forward to expanding our activities here independently starting next year. Through targeted investments in our local service portfolio and in conjunction with our global network, we aim to sustainably strengthen Hellmann’s market presence in Switzerland. Our customers, who have worked with ATS-Hellmann until now, will gain even more direct access to our global service offerings through the consolidation of activities within our own network,” said Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
