Federal Council adopts partially revised Air Transport Ordinance
12. October 2022Two new partners strengthen the general cargo network of Online System Logistics (OSL): Oneflow GmbH, based in Ratingen, has taken over the area around Düsseldorf for OSL since September; Heinrich von Wirth GmbH & Co. KG has been responsible for the routes in Ulm and the surrounding area since October from its location in Gingen an der Fils.
(Paderborn) The catchment area of Oneflow includes the region east of Düsseldorf between Ratingen and Hilden; previously, the forwarding company Kleine was responsible here, which left OSL at the end of 2022. For general cargo handling, Oneflow serves both the central HUB in Schlitz and the new West HUB in Bottrop. H. von Wirth picks up and delivers goods for the area between Stuttgart and Ulm from and to the OSL central HUB. “Thanks to the new partner H. von Wirth, we were able to optimize the area division here,” says Verena Käuper, authorized signatory at Online System Logistics. “As many transport routes are shortened, CO2 emissions are also reduced.”
Additionally around 60 trucks and 28,000 m2 of logistics and transshipment area
H. von Wirth contributes 80 employees, 25 trucks, 20,000 sqm of logistics, and 2,000 sqm of transshipment area to OSL; the headquarters is in Stuttgart. Oneflow, a company of Rath Holding GmbH, currently employs 72 of its own staff. Oneflow has 45 vehicles, 4,000 sqm of logistics, and 1,500 sqm of transshipment area. Both companies offer general cargo and partial loads as well as air and sea freight services. H. von Wirth places an additional focus on warehousing and contract logistics, while Oneflow focuses on eCommerce logistics.
“With H. von Wirth, we have gained a very traditional company, and with Oneflow, a very young medium-sized business for our general cargo network,” says Verena Käuper. “This way, we benefit not only from more capacity in two metropolitan regions but also from the different experiences of the companies: Oneflow is far ahead in digitalization, while H. von Wirth has excellent general cargo and cooperation experience.”
Almost 100 system partners in the network
After the accession of the two new partners, there are now a total of 96 system partners in the OSL general cargo network. Of the five service providers that support distribution and procurement but do not themselves feed in cargo, two will join the partnership at the beginning of next year. “With this, we have almost achieved our self-imposed goal of having only partners with equal rights and obligations in the network in the future,” says Verena Käuper.
