Nov 6, 2022 at 10:50 AMThe international transport and logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss is the new official sponsor of the German Academy of Foreign Trade and Transport (DAV) in Bremen. The partnership, initially set for three years, was sealed on November 2 at the DAV campus. As an active funding partner, Gebrüder Weiss will participate in the DAV’s teaching program with practical topics and support students with their semester and final theses.
(Lauterach/Bremen) As part of the partnership, experts from Gebrüder Weiss will come into contact with young people who have already gained work experience before starting their studies and wish to deepen their logistics knowledge. “We want to inspire these individuals to join our company by showing them through practical tasks how versatile the logistics business is,” explains Lothar Thoma, Managing Director Air & Sea at Gebrüder Weiss. He mentioned core topics of the company such as supply chain management, digitalization of supply chains, and sustainability in logistics as examples.
“We warmly welcome Gebrüder Weiss to the DAV’s funding circle. Thanks to our partner companies, our teaching content remains up-to-date, and our students can ideally prepare for their further professional careers,” says Thomas Zink, program director of the DAV.
