Danish DKI Now Officially Part of the Rhenus Group

Rhenus Warehousing Solutions has acquired the Danish company DKI Logistics A/S and its warehouse investment company DKI Automatic A/S (together “DKI”). With all formalities now settled, DKI is officially part of the global Rhenus Group.

(Holzwickede/Horsens) Following the announcement in August regarding the acquisition of the Danish company DKI, the responsible parties finalized the contract last week. The former CEO of DKI, Preben Borregaard, is leaving the company effective immediately. His successor as CEO is René Møller Klausen, who was previously COO at DKI. The official farewell ceremony for Borregaard and the kickoff event for the upcoming collaboration with Rhenus took place in the same week. “Our values align 100 percent. Becoming part of the Rhenus Group offers our company unprecedented opportunities,” explains René Møller Klausen.

Customized Value-Added Services

The third-party logistics provider DKI specializes in complete warehouse and supply chain solutions with customized value-added services. The intralogistics in the seven warehouses is characterized by a high degree of automation. With the integration of DKI into the Rhenus Group, customers in Denmark will now benefit from the entire service portfolio of the Rhenus Group in addition to DKI services. This includes warehouse services with a storage area of 3.5 million square meters, as well as a wide range of services – for example, various European land transport options and a global air and sea freight network.

Market Entry into Nordic Countries

By combining their extensive service portfolios, Rhenus Warehousing Solutions and DKI jointly offer their customers high-quality, scalable solutions. “The design of our market entry into the Nordic countries together with DKI is a logical step. We warmly welcome all customers, employees, and partners of DKI to the Rhenus family,” explains Andreas Plikat, General Manager of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions. In addition to the geographical expansion of the European network of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions, the connection with DKI leads to an increased presence in the FMCG and Health Care sectors.
