Raben Group Expands Location in Reichenberg for Contract Logistics
17. November 2022Flexport, the technology platform and digital freight forwarder, has opened a new operational location in Frankfurt. Since the beginning of the year, the logistics specialist has been strategically rolling out its sales network in Germany with focus teams in Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Munich. The expansion of the new location into a central competence center for air freight in the vicinity of the important hub Frankfurt Airport allows Flexport to have closer operational proximity to existing customers, local partners, and airlines.
(Hamburg/Frankfurt) “The opening of the new office in Frankfurt plays a crucial role in our international air freight offering and German expansion strategy,” says Stefan Böhler, General Manager of Flexport in Germany. “This allows us to consistently expand our operational business at one of the world’s most important transshipment points. Thus, we can efficiently optimize capacity procurement in the air freight segment for both our German and European customers. Flexport’s air freight product not only offers better networking among all air freight stakeholders through digital support of individual process steps. Bottlenecks can also be identified early through improved data availability, creating appropriate room for action. Thanks to the Flexport platform, data is structured and represented accordingly, which is a prerequisite for holistic digitization and integration along the entire supply chain. Additionally, Flexport customers can improve their business analyses and planning processes using the data available on the platform.
Opportunities at the Second German Location
At the new Flexport location in Cargo City, expert teams for sales, purchasing, air freight handling, and management for the DACH region will be based. The enhanced operational capabilities with the second German location aim to facilitate access to new customer groups and key industries. In particular, the industrial goods sector and the German mid-sized companies are in focus here. “We want to contribute to making air freight more digital and efficient. We can only achieve this if existing capacities are better utilized, processes are optimized, and collaboration among all shipment participants along the supply chain is intensified. The real-time exchange of data plays a crucial role here. With our platform and the experience of our employees, which we can now provide at two German locations, we support this important step into a digital future,” Böhler adds.
