Hellmann Establishes Growth Foundation with Three New Industry Solutions
22. November 2022driveMybox, the digital booking platform for truck container transport, is conquering the European logistics market. With its entry into the Netherlands, the start-up is creating new reach and helping Dutch transport companies, self-driving drivers, and clients to sustainably digitize their processes.
(Hamburg) The logistics start-up driveMybox is on a growth path and is now looking forward to its third international location in Europe, following Italy, with the Netherlands. The company was founded in 2019 and positions itself as a digital booking platform for container transport. The platform targets clients as well as transport companies and self-driving truck drivers. The goal of the start-up is to solve the complexity and prevailing lack of transparency in the container transport market with its “all-in-one solution from a single source.” The entire transport process is digitized, from rate inquiries to booking placements to cost settlement. Additional features include dynamic route optimization to offer environmentally friendly tours, avoidance of empty trips, a digital waiting time receipt, a unified dashboard, API integration, short payment terms, and direct, uncomplicated communication with driveMybox as the direct contact. The platform sets new digital standards in container logistics, and logistics processes are sustainably improved through consistently digitized and intuitive workflows.
Further step towards expansion
The entry into the Dutch transport market is another important step for the start-up towards expansion. Dutch road transport is a significant complement to the KV transports to and from Germany’s economic regions along the Ruhr, Rhine, Main, and Neckar, which are now served with one-way trips and round trips from the gateways of Antwerp and Rotterdam. The Port of Rotterdam is a major hub in container logistics and therefore a logical choice for a local representation of the digital platform. This location, along with the high demand for digital solutions throughout the Dutch logistics sector, especially at the West Ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, makes the Dutch market very interesting for the strategic growth of driveMybox. With the market entry of driveMybox and the introduction of the digital platform, manual processes are minimized, automation is promoted, and Dutch freight forwarding companies are supported on their path to digitization. The operational business will continue to be managed from Hamburg, with strong partners in the Netherlands supporting the start-up’s entry into the Dutch market with their local industry knowledge and contact networks.
New employees are excited
“Dutch drivers and clients have long been waiting for a digital solution like driveMybox. Through the platform, they can not only digitize themselves, but all operational work is also taken off their hands. We are very proud to accompany driveMybox on its way into the Dutch container transport market,” say the new employees of driveMybox Netherlands with excitement.
Rotterdam ideal starting point for market entry
Rotterdam, as one of the largest seaports in the world and the largest deep-water port in Europe, is an excellent location and starting point for the market entry of the digital platform into the Netherlands. Geographically, the port has a distinct unique selling point – located directly on the North Sea and at the mouth of the Rhine, it is optimally accessible and offers great potential. driveMybox is now looking forward to conducting new tours via Dutch roads through the West Ports. Sea freight containers that are moved inland or towards Germany via Rotterdam or Antwerp are particularly interesting for the start-up’s operations.
