Freight Transport in Switzerland 2021 Increases by Four Percent
22. November 2022Hellmann Worldwide Logistics creates three new Industry Solutions for the growth sectors of “Consumer Goods,” “Technology,” and “Industrial.” With the additional offering of highly specialized logistics services for individual industries, Hellmann significantly expands its service portfolio and optimizes processes along the entire value chain for its customers – from procurement, through production and distribution, to returns management and repair management.
(Osnabrück) The three new so-called “Verticals” complement Hellmann’s five already successfully established Industry Solutions for the automotive and cruise industries, the clothing and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for producers of renewable energy.
While the “Consumer Goods” sector primarily focuses on global transport with regard to the optimal combination of all available modes of transport, as well as the establishment of online shops and support at the point of sale, the Industry Solutions “Industrial” and “Technology” additionally offer classic contract logistics services such as supply and returns management.
The goal of all industry solutions is to cover the entire lifecycle of products through holistic end-to-end logistics concepts from a single source and thus to meet the individual requirements of specific industries in a targeted manner. The “Technology” vertical particularly addresses manufacturers of entertainment and high-tech electronics as well as robots. The “Industrial” industry solution primarily targets producers of machines, electrical and hand tools, as well as manufacturers of industrial electronic components. Consumer goods encompass classic consumer products with a relatively short lifecycle, such as toys, durable food, electrical and household appliances, as well as cosmetics and personal care products.
Further Consistent Step in the Growth Strategy
“With the three new Industry Solutions, we are taking another consistent step in our growth strategy. Based on our global infrastructure and sophisticated processes, we develop individual logistics concepts for our customers and thus remain a reliable and future-oriented partner even in times of increasing demands,” says Patrick Oestreich, Chief Commercial Officer, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
