Nov 22, 2022 at 4:09 PMJürgen Plock, managing partner of the Robert Kukla freight forwarding company, passed away on November 20 at the age of 80 after a short severe illness. The native of Bielefeld joined the company in 1966 after successfully completing the German Academy of Foreign Trade and Transportation in Bremen. The trained freight forwarding merchant was active in the company until his death.
(Munich) During his time, Plock provided decisive impulses that transformed Robert Kukla GmbH from a regional niche provider into a European medium-sized company with 12 locations.
“Jürgen Plock was an outstanding personality and a role model for all of us. Thanks to his always intact moral compass, his loyalty, and his absolute straightforwardness, he was the driving force behind the development of the company,” states Group CEO Knut Sander. Plock was a sought-after personal advisor for all colleagues – from trainees to co-managing directors – in numerous life situations. Countless colleagues owed him a great deal.
Training was the greatest passion
Caring for trainees was Jürgen Plock’s greatest passion during his 56 years at Robert Kukla GmbH. “Hundreds of young people were taught not only the freight forwarding trade but also a piece of life wisdom while working on the beloved situational tasks,” says Sander.
