4. December 2022The PostPlus Group is setting its sights on the German e-commerce market in 2023. To this end, the international logistics service provider is further expanding its global multi-carrier network consisting of national postal companies and parcel service providers. This step has already been taken in many European markets in recent months.
(Emmerich) PostPlus develops tailored end-to-end delivery solutions for cross-border online trade. Always oriented towards the needs of its customers, the company group offers them individual service and negotiates the best possible price with postal companies and parcel service providers. The goal for next year is to establish itself as an independent postal and parcel service provider in Germany.
“Our focus on delivery is on speed, reliability, and flexibility. We have already prepared early for the peak Christmas season, so online retailers can shine with excellent fulfillment with our help right now,” explains Sven Schwope, Managing Director of PostPlus Deutschland GmbH. For next year, PostPlus aims to become the most customer-oriented postal and parcel service provider for cross-border logistics in Germany and the EU.
To achieve this, the logistics service provider is developing a modular solution tailored to the specific needs of its customers, with fixed rates depending on the destination country and delivery method. Additionally, various tracking and supplementary options are available for booking. “In addition to a tailored and flexible logistics solution, we also guarantee personal support,” says Schwope. PostPlus places particular emphasis on transparency: Through a modular IT system, all shipment, tracking, and rate information is accessible in real-time at any time.
Everything from a Single Source for Customers
E-commerce retailers benefit from not having to research, contact, and negotiate contracts with shipping service providers individually – often requiring various communication systems. PostPlus takes care of all this, says Mihhail Rutenberg, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of the PostPlus Group: “Our customers receive everything from a single source, allowing them to focus entirely on their core business. We develop an individual concept for them and find the best possible rate.” This makes it possible to send packages in large quantities safely and affordably.
About Three Million Shipments per Month
Currently, PostPlus transports up to three million packages, parcels, and printed materials per month. For delivery, the logistics service provider relies on a global multi-carrier network consisting of air freight and KEP service providers, as well as postal companies in the destination country and other local service providers. “PostPlus is capable of combining various regional providers into a tailored national solution that covers all areas of the country. This benefit is also represented by the ‘Plus’ in our name. In 2023, we want to expand our network with additional partners in Germany, just as we have already done in many parts of the EU,” says Rutenberg. Because delivery by the state postal service is not always the optimal solution. Often, independent, specialized freight forwarders are the better choice. “Our customers can choose freely and switch at short notice if needed,” says the CCO. Additionally, the company group has its own terminal near Amsterdam Airport, which serves as a central hub for international mail and packages.
