4. December 2022Sameeha Pradeep Sule already has some experience in German-Indian exchange. Over the past three years, she has repeatedly been a member of intercultural projects of the German-Indian Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, additional responsibilities were added in the Hamburg Representation Mumbai (HRM).
(Hamburg/Mumbai) In October 2022, the trained economist took over the management of the Hamburg Representation, which also represents Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM). Her predecessor, Lea Miram, is leaving India after four years and returning to Germany.
Since January 2011, the Port of Hamburg has been represented locally in the Indian market by the HRM. India is one of the port’s most important trading partners, with container, general cargo, heavy cargo, and RoRo services connecting the Hanseatic city to the major Indian ports several times a week. Machinery and equipment, metals and metal products, chemical products, as well as textiles and clothing are among the most transported goods.
The representation supports HHM member companies interested in the Indian market, creates networks, organizes and supports events, and informs about current developments in Germany’s largest port in India.
Further Representation Tasks for Hamburg Institutions
In addition to HHM, the HRM also represents the interests of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in India, as well as those of the Hamburg Senate Chancellery, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, Hamburg Invest, and Hamburg Messe und Congress. Furthermore, it is part of the German-Indian Chamber of Commerce and benefits from its many years of experience and excellent networks.
