100 Years of Max Müller in Allgäu
13. December 2022On January 1, 2023, XSTAFF GmbH opens a new location in Hamburg. This move reflects the logistics service provider’s continuous growth over the past years and simultaneously sends a clear signal for the future.
(Düsseldorf) The new premises are located directly on the Elbe, in close proximity to the Port of Hamburg. The new location will be managed by Antonios Rigalos, a member of the management board and Chief Growth Officer of XSTAFF. Additionally, parts of the Procurement & Operations business area will be co-managed from this location. For Bodo Knop, Chairman of the Board of XSTAFF GmbH, the opening of a branch in the Elbe metropolis is a forward-looking step for the company: “If we want to continue our successful development of recent years, we must get even closer to the international markets and, above all, their most important players. In this context, Hamburg, as a leading logistics location in Northern Europe with its highly developed port, was our first choice.”
Not Just Focused on Sea Freight
A step that became necessary primarily due to the continuous growth of XSTAFF since its founding in 2016. In 2021, for the first time, over 100,000 TEU of cargo volume was moved through its own network, which now includes over 50 service providers and partners. The number of members has also steadily increased and now stands at around 50 companies and associations from industry and trade. “In order to continue providing our services at a high quantitative and qualitative level, we must continually adapt the structural framework conditions. Seen in this light, the opening of the location in Hamburg is ultimately just the logical consequence of the developments of recent years,” explains Antonios Rigalos.
A decision that gains additional significance in light of XSTAFF’s expanded service portfolio. The company has built additional competencies and developed innovative solutions, particularly in the areas of air transport and rail, beyond its core competence in sea freight. “Our customers can certainly continue to access this logistical know-how across all modes of transport from the Hamburg location. For this reason, the office opening in Hamburg is undoubtedly a milestone in the company’s development, from which our members as users will benefit enormously,” Antonios Rigalos is convinced.
