Dachser Completes Acquisition of Two Joint Ventures in Hungary

As of December 20, 2022, Dachser has acquired the remaining 50 percent of the shares in its Hungarian joint ventures ‘Liegl & Dachser Szállítmányozási és Logisztikai Kft.’ (transport and storage of industrial goods and food) and ‘Liegl & Dachser ASL Hungary Kft.’ (air and sea freight).

(Kempten) In the course of the acquisition, the previous co-partner Engelbert Liegl handed over his responsibilities as Regional Managing Director South East Europe (Road Logistics) to Roman Stoličný. The 54-year-old Slovak was previously responsible for the operational development of the country group Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania at Dachser. Engelbert Liegl will continue to shape the development of the joint ventures DACHSER Slovakia and DACHSER Romania as a shareholder.

Founded in 1999, the joint venture Liegl & Dachser initially focused on the transport and storage of consumer and industrial goods. In 2006, the Hungarian air and sea freight organization was added. Since 2008, Liegl & Dachser has also been active in the food logistics segment.

At seven locations in Hungary

Dachser is active in Hungary with its business lines European Logistics, Food Logistics, and Air & Sea Logistics. The company employs 394 staff at seven locations. The revenue of the national company amounted to approximately 120 million euros in 2021.
