Kombiverkehr participates in the Rail Hub Milano (RHM) in Melzo

Kombiverkehr and Sogemar announce a partnership. As part of this partnership, Kombiverkehr has acquired a ten percent stake in the Rail Hub Milano (RHM), one of Italy’s most important intermodal railway hubs.

(Frankfurt/Melzo) With this strategic acquisition, Kombiverkehr is further expanding its rail network in Europe and strengthening its position as one of the key players in the region. Kombiverkehr gains access to a state-of-the-art rail terminal with a capacity of 300,000 units per year, as well as a network of rail connections to major ports and industrial centers in Italy and beyond.

Sogemar (ContshipItalia Group) will retain a 90 percent stake in RHM. The partnership will combine the expertise and resources of both companies, creating a strong foundation for the future growth and success of the Rail Hub Milano. “We are excited about the partnership with Kombiverkehr and look forward to the potential for further growth and development in the rail industry,” said Matthieu Gasselin, CEO of Sogemar. “We are pursuing our strategy of building alliances with partners who share the same interests and business approaches.”
