Europa-LKW.de, an online platform for used vehicles, has published its barometer for the used truck market 2022. Based on user analyses, the platform determines which used vehicles were most in demand in Germany in 2022. In the search for semi-trailers, Schmitz Cargobull ranks first in all trailer types and is the most sought-after trailer brand.

This top rating shows that Schmitz Cargobull is also the preferred partner for used vehicles and manufactures high-quality, durable, and thus sustainable vehicles. Schmitz Cargobull has firmly anchored the topic of longevity in its product strategy and is committed to the circular economy to extend the lifecycle of vehicles. One example is the galvanized chassis.

The galvanization increases the lifespan of the chassis by at least three to five years compared to a painted chassis. This positively affects the overall usage time and also the resale value.

Schmitz Cargobull sells its used vehicles in over 38 depots, the so-called Cargobull Trailer Stores, across Europe. In these depots, over 10,000 used vehicles are sold annually in around 70 countries. About 90% of the vehicles come from Schmitz Cargobull. Especially in the markets of Western, Central, and South-Western Europe, Cargobull Trailer Store sees strong demand – particularly for young used vehicles.

In the depots, the used vehicle customer finds a comprehensive range of around 1,600 used vehicles from various manufacturers and ages. Vehicles that meet the strict quality standards of the used vehicle experts are awarded the “Trailerplus” seal. If a vehicle has this seal, it has undergone a thorough quality check by an independent testing company before delivery, where the structure, technology, and chassis were examined “from top to bottom”.

Since even the best trailer can break down, a Break-Down-Cover contract is available for the first 12 months free of charge for the Trailerplus vehicle. This way, the customer or driver receives quick assistance through the Schmitz Cargobull Euroservice in case of a breakdown. The contract includes the coverage of all labor costs, material costs for damages to the trailer, all travel costs, as well as a payment guarantee.
