Designwerk Expands to Sweden

Designwerk Technologies AG expands to Scandinavia: Since the beginning of the year, the mobile fast chargers for commercial vehicles from the Swiss electromobility specialist are also available in Sweden. Designwerk is supported by its new distribution partner Svensk Fordonsladdning (Rättvik, Sweden). “With Svensk Fordonsladdning, we have gained an excellent partner who promotes electromobility and meets the growing demand for emission-free drive technologies,” comments Designwerk CEO Adrian Melliger.

(Winterthur) Electromobility is central to the energy transition and achieving climate goals. Sweden plays a pioneering role in this regard. The distribution partnership is a win-win situation for both the official distributor and for Designwerk and its customers: Designwerk is expanding its market position in Europe, while the Swedish partner is enhancing its product portfolio with mobile charging solutions. As electromobility is advancing rapidly in Sweden, the demands on charging infrastructure are increasing. “Due to our close collaboration with Designwerk, we can expand our offering with a world-leading product in this area. We are already seeing a high demand for Designwerk’s quality products, especially for the mobile DC chargers,” says Robert Nilsson, Chairman of Svensk Fordonsladdning.

DC Fast Charging Solutions from Designwerk Expand Partner’s Offering

The official distribution partner Svensk Fordonsladdning has enjoyed an excellent reputation for years as a leading provider of complete solutions for fast DC charging systems. The portfolio includes charging solutions for businesses and municipalities. “Our goal is to deliver high-quality installations that are sustainable in the long term,” explains Nilsson. The mobile DC fast charging solutions from Designwerk Technologies AG expand the offering of the Swedish trading partner, who has previously only sold fixed-installed chargers. With the new portable chargers, Svensk Fordonsladdning can offer charging solutions exactly where customers need them: directly at the commercial vehicle. The mobile fast chargers can charge up to 600 kilometers per hour. With a power output of 22 to 88 kilowatts and up to 1000 volts of voltage, the devices ensure fast and stable charging cycles. Thanks to the integrated cable switching system, customers can conveniently and freely switch between different charging standards. Currently, maintenance and repair of the devices are handled by the service center in Lottstetten, Baden. In the medium term, this should also be possible in Sweden. The distribution of the Mega Charger on-site is also planned. The charging station in container format enables fast charging of heavy trucks within 45 minutes.
