The Finalists of the Eco Performance Award Are Announced
30. March 2023Founded in 2014, Acito Logistics GmbH from Weil am Rhein has established itself well in the tri-border area of Germany/France/Switzerland and has quickly grown in the field of logistics services. In 2018, a modern logistics center with 10,000 m2 of logistics space was put into operation. This week, the Acito Academy was officially launched as another milestone in the young company’s history.
(Weil am Rhein) As a regional logistics company founded in 2014 with locations in Weil am Rhein and Efringen-Kirchen, Acito Logistics GmbH has gained attention in recent years, particularly with innovative products and solutions.
The “Acito Academy” aims to continue this success story. The official launch of the new business area coincides with the move to new office spaces at Rebgartenweg 11 in Weil am Rhein, just a few meters from the company’s headquarters. Modern, bright rooms provide the ideal setting for focused training of small teams. The overseas department, led by management member Ralf Albrecht, is also located there.

Challenges in Cross-Border Goods Traffic
Southern Baden, particularly the tri-border area around Weil am Rhein, is one of the most frequented border regions in Germany regarding freight traffic. What documents are needed for customs clearance? When, where, and how must goods movements be reported? “These and other questions regarding cross-border goods traffic pose significant challenges for companies,” explains Patric Galley, Managing Director of Customs & Transport at Acito Logistics GmbH.
In this context, Acito Logistics has been offering the so-called “Simulated Customs Inspection” for some time. “In the course of this activity, which primarily takes place on-site at our customers’ locations, we have often found that the same questions and problem areas repeatedly confront companies,” Galley explains. Questions to which Acito Logistics has the right answers through the Acito Academy. This creates the perfect opportunity to write a new chapter here and bridge the gap between know-how and practice.
The Complexity of the Global Economy Requires Training by Experts
A look at the Acito Academy website shows: Here, offerings align with the current zeitgeist. The increasing complexity of the global economy, intensified sanctions, and their impacts: With the current series of specialized seminars on “Customs and Foreign Trade,” the Acito Academy offers a wide repertoire of foundational and specialized seminars and workshops. Practical consulting expertise and individual qualification, depending on the level of knowledge, form the cornerstones of the Acito Academy’s concept.
In addition, customized in-house seminars and workshops tailored to companies are also offered, which can be assembled and booked upon request. Hybrid training, which combines the advantages of on-site training with flexible online training, rounds out the portfolio.

Import and export are becoming increasingly complex. The Acito Academy helps to close knowledge gaps in this area.
Future E-Learning Offerings
Under the premise of – change, develop, shape, the Acito Academy offers companies the opportunity to provide practical training for themselves and their employees in various areas of the transport and logistics sector. Online and live. Whether they want to refresh, deepen, or expand their knowledge, the Acito Academy offers suitable training solutions for everyone from trainees to career changers to specialists.
To this end, the training area, which has been certified according to QM standard ISO 9001 since October 2022, relies on a pool of instructors from its own employees and freelancers, which is continuously expanded. Furthermore, additional services, such as an e-learning program and further series of specialized seminars in the field of transport and logistics, are planned for the future. Networking and after-work meetings with short impulse presentations are also on the agenda, reveals Patric Galley.
