31. March 2023The final jury session for the Eco Performance Award 2023 took place at the Transporeon headquarters in Ulm. The jurors nominated the following companies as finalists for the coveted award: Bächle Logistics GmbH and Krummen Kerzers AG in the SME category. s2 data & algorithms GmbH and Grünfuchs Logistik GmbH in the start-up category, as well as Seifert Logistics Group and Transgourmet Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG in the large company category. The winners will be announced on May 9, 2023, at a press conference during the “transport logistic” fair in Munich. In a loose series on Loginfo24, the companies will be presented in depth as a whole and specifically in relation to the award.
(St. Gallen/Ulm). The Eco Performance Award 2023 is entering its final phase. This week, the jury met at the headquarters of premium partner Transporeon GmbH in Ulm. The finalists presented their applications in person on-site.
The jury was able to convince itself of excellent presentations in a tightly scheduled program and ultimately nominated the following companies for the Eco Performance Award 2023:
SME Category
Bächle Logistics GmbH
Bächle Logistics GmbH from Villingen is the partner for national and international piece goods, partial loads, and full loads. The company currently employs a total of 520 employees, has over 172,000 m² of operational and storage space, about 200 of its own trucks, and approximately 150 charter trucks daily.
Bächle Logistics, which belongs to Swiss Post, presented the sustainability of its entire range of services for the Eco Performance Award.

Krummen Kerzers AG

The Swiss family business presented its sustainability strategy across all areas.
Start-up Category
s2 data & algorithms GmbH
s2 data & algorithms creates added value for society and industry. The young entrepreneurs, as applied mathematicians, bring outstanding algorithms, deep tech, software expertise, user experience, and decision support in innovative and cutting-edge forms into simple cloud or on-premise solutions. They aim to solve logistics processes with realistic, holistic optimization using the latest models to maximize potential and meet the necessary operational accuracy in planning while considering all side constraints for key customers.
In its presentation for the award, the Austrian start-up showed how it intends to link load space optimization and route planning with the intelligent data platform “MasterScheduler.”
Grünfuchs Logistik GmbH
Grünfuchs Logistik GmbH is well on its way to sustainably establishing the so-called “last mile” as a start-up. With various innovations, the young company is paving the way for the city logistics of the future. For example, Grünfuchs has developed a micro transshipment hub that automatically sorts packages even in a small area. What is progressing well in Göttingen is now to be established at further locations in Germany.
For the Eco Performance Award, Grünfuchs presented its concept for the “last mile” using the example of the already installed city logistics in Göttingen.

Transgourmet Deutschland GmbH & Co. OHG

For the Eco Performance Award, Transgourmet presented the sustainability strategy of the entire group, which is closely coordinated with the parent company Coop. This also applies to the large fleet.
Seifert Logistics GmbH
As a family business, Seifert Logistics GmbH from Ulm maintains customer contacts personally, preferably face-to-face and uncompromisingly binding. They do not send a call center ahead but prefer to act and react quickly, flexibly, and uncomplicated. True to the slogan: “We take care of it.” In the region and across Europe.
Seifert showed the jury the entire sustainability strategy of the company, which spans all areas.

Closing Ceremony and Announcement of Winners
At a ceremony with award presentation, the winners will be announced and honored on May 8, 2023, during a celebration in a dignified setting, the evening before the start of the “transport logistic” fair.
The press and public will be informed about the award winners at a media event “Meet the winners” on the opening day of the fair, May 9, 2023.
