17. April 2023The time has come: 155 events are prepared and announced. The talk program for the central event “Logistics Lunch” is set. This year, the focus is on the topic of skilled labor shortages. The patron of the action day is Oliver Luksic, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport and Coordinator of the Federal Government for Freight Transport and Logistics.
(Munich/Frankfurt) The Logistics Day, taking place across Europe, offers the general public many opportunities to get to know logistics companies live and on-site again this year: Premium partner Amazon offers numerous logistics tours. The Port of Trier, also a premium partner, invites you to a port tour, where patron Oliver Luksic even completed an internship. The third premium partner, VDO Fleet, will participate in the lunch talk with company representative Timo Ketterer, which will take place during the central event “Logistics Lunch” and can be followed via live stream by all interested parties.

This year, individual events are also taking place in Poland, Luxembourg, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, and even Ukraine, many of which can be followed online. Interested visitors can view, filter, and book these and all other events for free via the event calendar on the website www.tag-der-logistik.de, provided there are still free places available.
Online Participation in the Logistics Lunch
The central and connecting event Logistics Lunch takes place after the official press conference. On April 20 at 12:30 PM, moderators Uwe Berndt and Nicole Weikmann will welcome their talk guests at the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) in Frankfurt am Main. Interested parties can participate for free via live stream.
Uwe Berndt will moderate the lunch talk and discuss with his guests the core topic of ‘Working in Logistics’ and the labor shortage. The close connections between the working world and the topics of ‘Digitalization’ and ‘Sustainability’ will also be discussed. His guests will include: Prof. Dr. Nils Finger (CBS International Business School), Christina Thurner (LOXXESS AG), Timo Ketterer (VDO/Continental), and Andreas Schumann (Federal Association of Courier Express Postal Services).
Nicole Weikmann will conduct one-on-one interviews with her guests on further topics. Here, Rene Schmock, one of the most well-known German TikTok influencers and former truck driver, will talk about the image of logistics. Other guests include: Stefan Rummel (Messe München) on the topic of digitalization in logistics, Volker Klassen (Port of Trier) about inland ports as employers, and Marco Neelsen (Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia) on the world’s fourth-largest port.

The discussions will be enlivened by regular live broadcasts to parallel logistics events, allowing viewers to get a good overview of the overall activities of the action day.
