30. April 2023Stable number of exhibitors, again full space utilization, and the strongest visitor surge in 20 years: LogiMAT 2023 builds on last year’s success and continues its growth trajectory. This is the best result since the inception of the intralogistics trade fair. With a share of 35 percent among exhibitors, companies from 39 nations underscore the internationality of the fair.
(Stuttgart) LogiMAT 2023 closed its doors today, Thursday, with a significant increase in visitors compared to last year’s results. Over the three days of the fair, a total of 62,343 trade visitors (+25%) came to the Stuttgart exhibition grounds. This current event even surpasses the pre-pandemic results of 2019. “A LogiMAT of records,” states trade fair director Michael Ruchty from the event organizer EUROEXPO GmbH, Munich. “LogiMAT 2023 achieved the highest visitor turnout since the fair’s inception. Together with the increase in international exhibitors, it demonstrates that the LogiMAT brand is firmly established as the world’s leading trade fair and a key player for the future-oriented design of efficient intralogistics processes.”
In the fully booked ten exhibition halls of the Stuttgart exhibition grounds, 1,563 exhibitors from 39 nations presented their latest developments and innovations for optimal material flows and efficient process management. 125,000 square meters of utilized gross exhibition space provided international exhibitors with a net exhibition area of 65,503 square meters (+8%). Even before the event, exhibitors at LogiMAT 2023 reported more than 100 exclusive product premieres. Among them were world innovations and unique innovations such as the 3D ultrasonic sensor “Toposens Echo One,” awarded as “Best Product” in the category of “Picking, Conveying, Lifting, and Storage Technology,” developed by Meysens GmbH for acoustic detection.

Over 62,000 trade visitors flocked to the halls of LogiMAT 2023
With the exhibits of the exhibitors and the proven supporting program, LogiMAT 2023 covered the information and knowledge transfer for future-oriented investments. These focus on automation, digital transformation, and the integration of modern technologies such as robotics, sensors, and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize internal processes. Additionally, solutions related to sustainability and energy efficiency were in focus for both exhibitors and trade visitors. The professional audience used the presence fair for business initiation and market exploration among competitors. Visitors indicated that they were specifically looking for automation solutions at LogiMAT, seeking inspiration from new technologies, and evaluating potential cooperation partners. Accordingly, exhibitors recorded qualified customer contacts with promising project inquiries and cooperation agreements. According to the visitor analysis from the independent Basel market research institute Wissler & Partner, a high percentage of trade visitors came to LogiMAT with concrete investment intentions. This is confirmed by the numerous reported contracts concluded at LogiMAT 2023.
Contracts Announced at the Fair
For example, the French technology company Exotec and general contractor Unitechnik announced a cooperation agreement. The Turkish robotics company Bottobo Robotics and Wiferion signed a contract for the delivery of inductive charging systems in the four-digit range. The hardware and software provider Ecovium agreed with Lux CT Transportlogistik on the installation of software for transport and logistics management. The contract signings underscore the significance of LogiMAT as a working fair. Overall, more than 40 percent of trade visitors awarded contracts or intend to do so immediately after the event. Among them, 84.2 percent of the fair visitors hold decision-making positions in their companies.
Once again, LogiMAT has increased its degree of internationalization this year. For nearly every second trade visitor, the travel distance was longer than 300 kilometers. One in four traveled from abroad. Just over ten percent of the fair visitors came from overseas. Among the exhibitors at LogiMAT 2023, the share of international companies has grown to more than one-third this year. Another indication of internationality: Among the approximately 200 new exhibitors who came to Stuttgart for the first time this year, the share of international companies was nearly 70 percent.
“The overall excellent result of LogiMAT 2023 exceeds all expectations,” summarizes trade fair director Ruchty. “Networking and direct information and knowledge transfer between all renowned developers, manufacturers, and solution providers with a record-level professional audience. Additionally, contract signings in an international context. This once again reinforces LogiMAT’s position as a key industry platform for intralogistics and a trade fair for decision-makers.”
