The sustainability goals of the contract logistics provider have been defined to reduce environmental impact and promote social responsibility, thereby ensuring economic stability. In the context of the sustainability strategy of the Seifert Logistics Group, projects related to corporate social responsibility have already been implemented. These include:
Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The Seifert Logistics Group is taking measures to reduce its ecological footprint. By using renewable energy for electricity generation, emissions from electricity usage could be reduced by up to 50 percent in 2023 compared to 2021. Additionally, electric drives are being used in trucks, cars, and industrial trucks. At the headquarters in Ulm, Seifert is presenting an electromobility concept that not only offers electric charging points for all vehicles but also a load management system that regulates optimal power distribution according to existing demand. The direct connection to the A8 and the container terminal in Ulm reduces transport distances. The roof area of the new location will be equipped with a photovoltaic system that generates up to 5.5 MWp of electricity.
Social Responsibility

Health is also sustainability: Employees of the Seifert Logistics Group can train in the company’s own gym.
As a family business, the Seifert Logistics Group feels socially responsible to give back. This includes initiatives such as transporting aid supplies to crisis areas, fundraising for needy children, and supporting all cultural associations in the vicinity of the respective locations. To support employees, an internal Seifert Fund has been established to assist in difficult life situations. Furthermore, the Seifert Logistics Group offers a wide range of training opportunities. As part of the “Advanced Management Program (AMP)”, employees, for example, have the opportunity to be trained by executives to later act as leaders themselves. A training program is also offered for driving personnel (Behaviour Based Safety), which includes driving safety training, ECO training, and practical driving training. Prioritizing health promotion for employees also plays an important role. The new logistics center in Ulm offers open work and lounge areas as well as an integrated gym with EGYM equipment. The menu selection from the company restaurant “Franzl” is prepared daily by nutritionists to ensure health and nutrition are considered. Through various part-time models, flexible working time agreements, and the option to work from home, the Seifert Logistics Group promotes work-life balance company-wide.
“Sustainability means thinking holistically for us, both for our customers, employees, and society, which means both ecological and social sustainability.” – Axel Frey, CEO
The Seifert Logistics Group has recognized that sustainable action in the logistics industry is crucial and is proud to take a leading role in promoting sustainability. The family business is convinced that by equally promoting economic, ecological, and social goals, a positive impact on the environment and society can be exerted while simultaneously creating added value for employees and customers.
