Eco Performance Award Finalist s2 data & algorithms Introduces Itself
Jun 1, 2023 at 4:41 PMTrans.eu and project44 have signed a contract. As a result, the American startup will provide advanced visibility features to the customers of the Trans.eu transport platform, enabling real-time monitoring of shipments. With this agreement and mutual integration, European customers of Trans.eu will be able to track their deliveries and freight in real-time directly on the Trans.eu platform.
(Berlin/Rostock) Both production companies (shippers) and freight forwarders will benefit from this collaboration, as monitoring can be done directly on the Trans.eu platform. There is no need to register in a separate tool for this purpose.
“The solution developed in collaboration with project44 is the result of months of negotiations and technological work. As a result, a service tailored specifically to our customers is created. In practice, this service allows the fleet of a freight forwarder registered with project44 to be registered on the Trans.eu platform ‘with one click’ – without passwords, logins, and without the freight forwarder needing to register with project44. This is a milestone for maximum user-friendliness.
Thus, this service sets a standard that other market participants cannot offer today,” says Bogdan Kosturek, Vice-President of Technology and Product Development at Trans.eu. Jett McCandless, founder and CEO of project44, adds: “Customers expect reliable access to accurate information about the movement of goods in the supply chain. Through the collaboration of project44 and Trans.eu, we can now provide real-time data that the modern economy needs.”
Instant Delivery Monitoring with a Single Click
On the Trans.eu platform, transactions are predominantly conducted in the spot market. These are more challenging to monitor in real-time for various reasons. However, Trans.eu and project44 assure that real-time visibility is also guaranteed for spot transports. To begin monitoring individual transactions on the Trans.eu platform, only the consent of both parties is required.
“This is the first such advanced and user-friendly solution on the market, developed hand in hand by a global provider of real-time visibility and a transport platform,” says Kosturek.
Benefits of Real-Time Monitoring
Companies that monitor their deliveries in real-time undoubtedly have a significant competitive advantage. They can offer their customers a high level of security and control over their freight. The practical benefits of the new tracking system developed through the cooperation of project44 and Trans.eu include:
- more accurate ETAs, as customers can track the location of their freight in real-time,
- improved decision-making through real-time tracking, allowing customers to gain time to immediately address arising complications and quickly change routes or delivery methods if necessary
- better planning options with updated ETA details of the freight, enabling customers to streamline the loading and unloading process,
- smoother logistics processes with full control over transport, allowing customers to save time and increase their competitiveness in the TSL market
