Recently, TGW North America celebrated another milestone in its history: The intralogistics specialist handed over a highly automated fulfillment center to the leading lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret & Co. The flagship project in Columbus, Ohio, impresses not only with its dimensions but also sets standards in performance and flexibility.
(Marchtrenk/Columbus) Victoria’s Secret & Co. is the world’s largest specialty retailer of lingerie and offers a wide range of modern collections, including bras, panties, lingerie, sleepwear, as well as athleisure, award-winning fragrances, and body care products. Victoria’s Secret & Co. will use the new fulfillment center in Columbus for shipping online orders to customers across the United States. To ensure short lead times, fast delivery, and high service quality, the brand has invested in a powerful solution.
Up to 640,000 Picks per Day
With the FlashPick® system for automatic order fulfillment, orders can be efficiently picked with the highest variability. The TGW Warehouse Software manages the planning, control, monitoring, and optimization of all picking processes. The modular structure of the software covers warehouse management in the shuttle as well as order processing, goods flow control, and visualization.
In peak times, FlashPick® enables up to 640,000 picks per day, along with an automated pick-to-light system that accounts for another 360,000 picks daily. The powerful core is a shuttle system, where Stingray vehicles handle fully automated inbound and outbound storage. Orders are assembled at manual PickCenter One picking workstations as well as a robot-assisted PickCenter Rovolution.
