25. July 2023The BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH has once again received the award for Bavaria’s Best 50. For BTK, the third porcelain lion is a visible sign of ongoing business success. BTK was already among the award winners in 2009 and 2020. Now, the third porcelain lion, along with a certificate, honors the company once again for its sustainably positive business development over the past five years.
(Raubling/Schleißheim) Roland Weigert, State Secretary in the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, presented the SME award at Schloss Schleißheim. On behalf of the 360 employees in the fields of transport and logistics, the managing partners Josef Heiß and Franz Weiß, along with their authorized signatories Peter Berger (Logistics) and Franz Neuner (Transport), accepted the award.
In addition to reaching the 100 million euro revenue mark, the award particularly recognizes the forward-looking investments. Since 2018, BTK has expanded its storage space from eight to 35,000 square meters and increased its revenue by 36 percent with an employee growth of nearly 30 percent. Particularly visible signs of stable business development include the newly opened office building in July, which provides up to 150 workplaces, and the newly established innovation team for the digitalization of all administrative, transport, and logistics processes.
Ten Percent of Award Winners from the Logistics Sector
Medium-sized entrepreneurs who recognize and consistently utilize new opportunities for growth and employment are the backbone of our economy. “It is important to me to publicly acknowledge examples of positive entrepreneurship,” explains State Secretary Roland Weigert regarding the award. The selection was made independently and neutrally by the auditing and tax consulting firm Mazars GmbH & Co. KG based on objective criteria. With BTK, GO! Express & Logistics, Amm Spedition, Murrmann, and Heinloth, ten percent of the award winners come from the logistics sector.
