Soloplan Remains in the Hands of the Heinl Family for Another 10 Years
3. August 2023The French do-it-yourself market leader Leroy Merlin and TGW are drawing an initial interim balance on their joint Lifetime Services contract. For two years, a 17-member team of TGW experts has ensured that the highly automated fulfillment center southeast of Paris operates reliably and with the highest performance.
(Marchtrenk/Lezennes) Whether for DIY, home, or garden needs: Leroy Merlin combines a wide product selection with high service quality. To further optimize its supply chain, the French company launched a powerful TGW FlashPick® system in the summer of 2021. With the highly automated solution in Réau, deliveries to stores and online customers can be accelerated, and lead times can be significantly reduced.
Since going live in the summer of 2021, the 17-member TGW onsite team has ensured maximum availability in ongoing operations – six days a week. In addition to support from onsite technicians, the full-service contract also includes preventive and corrective maintenance as well as remote support.
The TGW team conducts preventive maintenance in addition to regular service activities and supports Leroy Merlin in continuous improvement measures to optimize performance, safety, and ergonomics of the workplaces. The full-service package also includes the delivery and management of spare parts as well as support from remote experts.
Nine shuttle aisles with 80,000 storage locations
The FlashPick® system includes nine shuttle aisles with approximately 80,000 storage locations, 171 Stingray shuttles, and a performance of around 70,000 order lines per day. The various work areas (preparation, replenishment, and palletizing) are connected by energy-efficient KingDrive® conveyor technology. The shuttle system is linked to six PickCenter One picking workstations.
