VAP Ensures Comprehensive Clarification of the Accident in Gotthard
17. August 2023Fans and spectators of the SpVgg Bayreuth will soon find a new color on the yellow-black jerseys of the ‘Altstadt’: orange with the letters GW. Behind GW is the international transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss. The company, which has recently established a presence in Bayreuth, is now the gold sponsor of the traditional club. The new partnership was sealed on August 1 between SpVgg Managing Director Jörg Schmalfuß and Werner Dettenthaler, Managing Director of Land Transport Germany at Gebrüder Weiss.
(Lauterach/Bayreuth) Recently, the logistics company acquired the Bayreuth forwarding agency Wedlich, thereby taking on the important role of logistical partner for the Upper Franconian economy. “Therefore, it was no question that we would also engage with the SpVgg. We have a lot in common with the ‘Oldschdod’: teamwork, speed, precision, and above all, joy in movement. We are excited to support all teams and wish for a successful season,” Dettenthaler explained during the contract signing in Bayreuth. In addition to the men’s first football team, the logistics provider also supports the youth and women’s teams of SpVgg Bayreuth.
“The SpVgg is a football club with over a hundred years of history, similar to our new supporter Gebrüder Weiss. Passionate commitment and skillful teamwork by professionals for top performance – this fits together, whether on the football field or on transport routes,” added Jörg Schmalfuß during the contract signing.
Also present on the boards at the Hans-Walter Stadium
In the future, the orange GW logo will not only appear on the jerseys of the Altstädter but also on the boards and the spectator stands of the Hans-Walter-Wild-Stadium. Gebrüder Weiss is represented at nine locations in southern Germany and is involved not only in professional football but also in cycling, running sports, and volleyball.
