Marijo Pesic is responsible for intermodal transport at Hellmann

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Marijo Pesic as Director Product Management Rail Europe. In this newly created position, he is responsible for the strategic development of the entire European intermodal transport in combination with rail.

(Osnabrück) The goal is to further expand rail transport within Europe as an important part of combined transport at Hellmann, thereby establishing environmentally friendly and simultaneously cost- and time-efficient supply chains across Europe.

The 41-year-old transport specialist Marijo Pesic has many years of experience in combined transport. He worked for nearly 25 years at Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co. KG in Frankfurt am Main, where he most recently led the Eastern and Southeastern European transport. At Hellmann, he will leverage his extensive industry expertise not only for the strategic development of the Rail Europe product but also to introduce new intermodal products to the European market, with a particular focus on developing a sustainable supply chain between Europe and Turkey.

Rail transport means climate protection

“Sustainability is a key focus for us as a company – and rail transport means climate protection. Therefore, it is our stated goal to shift goods to rail wherever possible. We will significantly expand combined transport throughout Europe to offer our customers internationally tailored environmentally friendly transport solutions.
