DEKRA Future Congress Commercial Vehicles in Berlin
31. October 2023The PASS Consulting Group welcomes ParkDepot GmbH from Munich as a new customer for its tour optimization solution PLANTOUR. The specialist for digital parking space monitoring in Germany now coordinates orders with the software, planning the last mile more cost-effectively. A messenger application from PASS partner ZEKJU also bridges the gap between the dispatcher and the driver in providing route and tour data.
(Würzburg/Munich) The software application of PASS Logistics Solutions AG (PLS) primarily supports ParkDepot in tour assignment for the service teams. At the same time, the AI algorithm PASS Optimization Service (POS) optimizes the utilization of the vehicle fleet and costs in the background.
“What we appreciate, in addition to the commitment that PASS shows in the collaboration, is primarily the flexibility and the value for money of the solution,” says Han Völker, Founders Associate at ParkDepot GmbH, who has accompanied the selection process among various providers from the very beginning. “The application grows flexibly with our requirements and influences the result with many adjustable parameters. The integration of the driver into the overall process and the hybrid approach with always up-to-date data incorporating AI have convinced us.”
Sustainable and more efficient utilization of the vehicle fleet
The decision for PLANTOUR was a strategic one for ParkDepot: The aim is to achieve savings in logistics and service costs as well as in the handling of assembly and service tours – primarily through the reduction of travel times and distances. The provider also aims for a more sustainable and efficient utilization of the deployed vehicles (CO2-reduction) and an increased service quality for customers in fully automated parking space monitoring.
The application is used by ParkDepot as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and is set up hybrid: This means that customer data runs GDPR-compliant in the in-house IT environment on a virtual server. In contrast, all geo-based live services (e.g., traffic jams & construction sites), the map material, and the optimization algorithm come directly from the PASS Cloud. The data is hosted securely in its own data centers in Germany.
Messenger application for dispatcher and driver
Another benefit is the collaboration with PLS partner ZEKJU. Its messenger application connects PLANTOUR in the simplest way with the service vehicle and also plays the results back live into the dispatcher monitor of the tour planning solution. No separate app is needed for this; instead, messenger services like WhatsApp or Telegram are used. A real game changer in the interaction between driver and dispatcher.
High efficiency and maximum service quality
“In the future, PLANTOUR and ZEKJU will ensure high efficiency and maximum service quality of the planned tours at ParkDepot GmbH,” says Jan Junker, board member of PASS Logistics Solutions AG. “We are very pleased that the specialist for fully automated parking space monitoring trusts our system.”
