NOSTA Completely Replaces Its Fleet
Nov 7, 2023 at 7:37 PMTX Logistik AG will present its dense European network at Logitrans, the largest transport and logistics fair in Eurasia. The trade fair presence from November 15 to 17 in Istanbul underscores the significant importance of the Turkish transport market for the rail logistics company belonging to Mercitalia Logistics (FS Italiane Group) – despite the currently generally difficult geopolitical and economic conditions.
(Troisdorf) TX Logistik has already early on adapted to the growing attractiveness of the Southeast European market and integrated Turkey into its network. Currently, the rail logistics provider operates an intermodal connection between Istanbul and Curtici three times a week in cooperation with a traction partner. In the Romanian border town, there is a connection to the intermodal train that links the Trade Trans Terminal in Curtici with the CTS Container Terminal in Cologne-Niehl. TX Logistik is responsible for and manages the entire transport chain on this route. Currently, five round trips are operated per week. Ideally, the transit time for the entire route between Cologne and Istanbul is seven days.
The NiKRASA Handling System Plays a Key Role
The NiKRASA handling system also plays a key role for the Turkish market. In Turkey, predominantly non-refrigerated trailers are in operation, which can be quickly and easily loaded onto the train using NiKRASA. Therefore, TX Logistik aims to provide information at Logitrans in Istanbul specifically about the newly designed version 3.0, which no longer requires a terminal ramp, is stackable, and has been further optimized for the rail transport of mega trailers. TX Logistik AG can be found at the German Pavilion 3/322 at Logitrans, which is initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
