Jan 30, 2024 at 7:10 PMWith a logistics center in Tholey, Saarland, the FRICKE Group is planning the future of the trading company. By choosing a general contractor, the company has made significant progress on this project just before the turn of the year. The decision fell on BREMER AG, an experienced partner for this construction project.
(Heeslingen/Tholey) The construction of a second logistics center in Tholey, Saarland, will provide the FRICKE Group with improved access, especially to the French and southern German markets as well as Southern Europe, through shortened shipping routes. By opting for a general contractor, the Lower Saxony family business is now significantly advancing this construction project. The choice was made for one of the three largest general contractors in Germany, BREMER AG. The Paderborn construction company was able to impress with its extensive experience in corporate and specifically logistics construction, as well as its reliability as a family-owned business. Depending on the weather conditions in the coming weeks, BREMER AG will start setting up the construction site in Tholey as early as February 2024.
“With BREMER AG, we have now found a trustworthy partner with whom we can implement this crucial project for the FRICKE Group. We are already looking forward with great anticipation to the day when the first packages will be loaded in Tholey. With the decision for BREMER, we have now come a significant step closer to that day,” says Hans-Peter Fricke, Managing Director of the FRICKE Group, pleased with the progress of the project.
Usable area of a total of 80,000 m2
BREMER will take on the turnkey execution of the construction of all logistics and office areas at the logistics center in Tholey, which corresponds to an investment sum of around 50 million euros. The FRICKE Group is investing a total of 160 million euros in the new logistics center. The completion of the first construction phase is planned for the third quarter of 2025. In its final expansion stage, the second logistics center of the FRICKE Group will have a usable area of a total of 80,000 square meters, making it comparable in capacity to the current spare parts central warehouse at the Heeslingen headquarters of the FRICKE Group.
