6. February 2024With the newly founded Xplanis Deutschland GmbH, the leading Swiss logistics software company enters the German market for Transport Management Systems (TMS). The core of the company’s cross-industry SaaS solution (Software as a Service) is the well-established TMS X4Fleet.
(Bern/Karlsruhe) X4Fleet has been specifically designed to enable small businesses to digitize their processes even without extensive IT knowledge. The software serves as a model: The Swiss Commercial Vehicle Association ASTAG uses X4Fleet as a training system for dispatchers. Currently, around 250 customers are already relying on Xplanis solutions, including well-known companies in Germany such as Strada Kurier, Migrol, and CreaBeton, as well as a variety of small firms.
For the launch in Germany, Xplanis has recruited two long-standing experts from the German logistics software market. With Volker Möller as Managing Director (formerly at Venkinto, Smartlane, and still a member of the organizing team and jury member at the Eco Performance Award) and Tobias Häßler as Director Sales (formerly at PTV, Ortec, and startups in logistics and sustainability), customers and interested parties have very experienced and competent contacts for their next steps into Logistics 4.0. Both are supported by Markus Graeber, who, in addition to his role as another Managing Director of Xplanis Deutschland GmbH, is also jointly responsible for the parent company with founder Rudolf Hänni.
“More and more large companies are subject to the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and sustainability reporting. However, the resulting impacts on small transport companies are often still underestimated. They must be sufficiently digitally equipped to meet the new requirements of clients. If they cannot comply, they will soon no longer receive orders – we want to counteract this,” explains Volker Möller the strategy of the German branch. “It has never been more important than now to digitize daily operations and processes. With X4Fleet, we offer small and medium-sized enterprises a straightforward and quick solution to this challenge,” adds Tobias Häßler.
First Step Towards Internationalization
The establishment of Xplanis Deutschland GmbH represents the first step in the internationalization strategy of the Xplanis Group. “The goal is to quickly establish the company with its innovative solutions in relevant markets, starting with Germany, while already planning the next steps,” Markus Graeber informs us.
