Feb 20, 2024 at 12:50 PMThe globally active family business Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has been closely collaborating with various start-ups for many years to actively shape and drive the digital transformation of the industry. Since February, Hellmann has also become a corporate partner of the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg (DHLH), bringing its expertise particularly in terms of sustainably embedding innovations into the structures of a global medium-sized enterprise.
(Osnabrück/Hamburg) The innovation space DHLH is part of the nationwide network of the Digital Hub Initiative, which was launched by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the digital association Bitkom, and currently operates twelve thematic locations in Germany. The goal of the network is to promote exchange between companies, investors, start-ups, and academia, and to sustainably advance innovations. The community of the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg now includes 25 corporate partners, including Hellmann, and around 100 start-ups that together develop and market pioneering ideas and smart innovations for the logistics and supply chain of the future along the entire supply chain.
“We warmly welcome Hellmann as a new corporate partner and are very much looking forward to valuable impulses and exciting experiences in the context of innovation and digitalization. The partnership offers Hellmann another opportunity to expand its digital competence and strengthen it in the market. At the same time, Hellmann, as a global logistics service provider, contributes its extensive industry know-how, making an important contribution to the agile structures of the hub, which thrive on the innovative power of all partners and start-ups,” said Erik Petruschke, Managing Director of Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg.
“Innovations Succeed Best Together”
“Innovations succeed best together. To advance the digital transformation of our industry, we need not an ego system, but an innovation ecosystem where we can collaborate and illuminate ideas from various perspectives. The Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg is an inspiring place for Hellmann, where we can share and further develop our approaches and experiences as a globally operating logistics provider with various partners from the corporate and start-up world. We look forward to jointly shaping the ecosystem for the logistics of tomorrow – digitally and sustainably,” said Stefan Borggreve, who has been a member of the board of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics since the beginning of the year as Chief Digital Officer.
