HHLA Reports a Decline in Revenue and Throughput in 2023
20. February 2024The Wittur Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of components for the elevator industry, is advancing the digitalization of its global procurement processes. In terms of supplier management, the company, headquartered in Dresden and Sulzemoos-Wiedenzhausen in Bavaria, relies on the support of Source-to-Pay provider JAGGAER.
(Dresden/Unterhaching) With production sites in 11 countries worldwide, nearly one billion euros in revenue by 2022, 4,900 employees, 7 competence centers, over 600 patents, and a sales network serving more than 50 countries, Wittur is one of the major players in the elevator industry and faces high complexity with its comprehensive global supplier network. With the help of JAGGAER’s advanced software tools, the company aims to standardize its processes and has created a solution for the centralized digital management of supplier data.
The five-language international supplier management platform already includes 4,000 suppliers from around the world, covering more than 100 different product categories. The JAGGAER tools also support Wittur with dedicated scorecards for risk analysis, the results of which are important criteria in supplier selection. Last but not least, the digitalization project includes the management of supplier documents as well as the administration of contracts and framework agreements.
“It was urgently necessary for us to consolidate all information and best practices from the various Wittur locations worldwide onto a specific platform. All important supplier data is now automatically captured, centrally available, and can be retrieved with just a few clicks. Additionally, the category tree greatly facilitates our planning of the supply fleet for various tasks. We are very pleased with the progress we have made in the project together with JAGGAER,” says Pedrina Lucio, Head of the Purchasing Performance Office at Wittur.
“The project was implemented quickly and smoothly,” adds Fabio Moretti, Account Manager at JAGGAER. “The goals and the necessary solutions were clear from the beginning. Together with Wittur, we developed a linear process that delivered the expected results from the outset and significantly facilitated the team’s introduction of the new platform.”
Further Expansion of Software Use
Against this background, the elevator specialist aims to further expand the use of JAGGAER software, particularly focusing on sustainability. It is planned to integrate all processes that Wittur currently conducts to verify and assess compliance with ESG criteria (Environmental Social Governance) among all major global suppliers into the platform.
