Cargo Alliance ELVIS warns against hasty reduction of the fleet
29. February 2024The fleet management provider Webfleet, part of Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, announced a partnership with Bosch today. The goal of the cooperation is to offer fleet customers integrated mobility services in the future. As part of the partnership, Webfleet will be part of the digital service platform for logistics fleets, Bosch L.OS, which connects various fleets, transport companies, warehouses, and digital solutions.
(Leipzig) Fleet companies will gain access to an expanded solution portfolio that is seamlessly integrated into the Webfleet fleet management platform. Webfleet and Bosch aim to bundle services and systems intelligently so that companies can manage their fleets more efficiently based on real-time data.
In the first step, Bosch Secure Truck Parking will be integrated into Webfleet. Through this booking platform, freight forwarders and truck drivers can view and reserve available parking spaces along their route in real-time. This significantly simplifies the planning and booking process for fleets from a network of verified parking spaces. They reduce potential security risks for both their drivers and their cargo. Additionally, fuel costs and CO2 emissions incurred from searching for a suitable parking space will be saved.
It is planned that Webfleet customers will have direct access to Bosch Secure Truck Parking through Webfleet. In this context, dispatchers will also receive recommendations for available parking spaces based on their order and route plans. Estimated arrival times can then be calculated even more accurately depending on the current traffic situation and communicated to the customer. All details of the secure parking reservation will be automatically communicated to the drivers via the Webfleet driver app and the PRO Driver Terminals.
“We are excited to become part of the Bosch L.OS platform. Through this cooperation, two powerful companies in the mobility sector are now working closely together to address the critical challenges faced by fleet companies,” says Taco van der Leij, Vice President Webfleet Europe at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions. “The integration of Bosch’s Secure Truck Parking solution into Webfleet is just the beginning of our collaboration, as we aim to jointly offer more innovative solutions in the future to meet the growing needs of our customers.”
Expansion of the Partner Ecosystem
Through the partnership with Bosch, Webfleet is further expanding its partner ecosystem and providing fleets with broad access to cutting-edge technologies that enable them to operate more efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
