8. March 2024The duisport group consolidates all logistical services into a new unit: Whether global intermodal transport concepts, container handling activities, contract logistics, road freight transport, or technical and terminal services. (duisport) “The establishment of the new unit is a milestone for duisport: It enables the company to consolidate all operational activities and offer our customers tailored, targeted solutions,” says duisport COO & CTO Lars Nennhaus. The companies duisport agency, duisport facility logistics, and Bohnen Logistik will merge into duisport logistics & port services (dlps). This process is expected to be completed by the end of August this year and will be retroactive to January 1, 2024.
duisport CEO Markus Bangen: “By bundling logistical services, we send a clear signal: As a competent and reliable partner for logistics, duisport is the first choice in the region. We create a transparent structure, establish efficient processes, and sharpen our customer focus.”
Clear focus on operational business
The new unit will be led by a trio: Managing Directors Volker Grzybowski, Julian Schneider, and Peter van Ling, who will report directly to Lars Nennhaus. Within duisport logistics & port services, two operational business areas will be created that clearly delineate the service portfolio of the new unit and place a distinct focus on operational business: “transports” and “logistics and port services.” Additionally, a “shared services” area will be established to specifically support the business areas in their operational activities and drive the strategic development of the new unit.
