duisport Group Participates in Crocodile Packaging Ltd.

The duisport group expands its portfolio in the field of industrial goods packaging and takes over the inventor of an innovative packaging solution: To this end, duisport packaging solutions Süd GmbH & Co. KG (dps) plans to gradually take over the British Crocodile Packaging Ltd. (Crocodile) along with all employees.

(Duisburg/Swindon) Crocodile developed a novel and environmentally friendly solution for the packaging of industrial goods more than twenty years ago with the Clipkiste, which is still used today by dps. This involves a standardized design of boxes that can be quickly and safely assembled and disassembled using spring steel clips. This increases the speed of assembly, reduces noise pollution, and lowers the risk of injury. The use of the boxes as reusable packaging in circular and pooling systems enables sustainable use of the packaging materials. Additionally, the significantly reduced shipping volume of the disassembled boxes back to the shipping location and the possibilities for reuse also lead to a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions.

Clip boxes are particularly efficient and reusable

Manufacturing Innovative Packaging Systems

The Industrial Logistics division of the duisport group is divided into the sectors “industrial solutions” (packaging and plant logistics) and “packaging solutions” (manufacturing of packaging systems). The “packaging solutions” sector focuses on the production of highly innovative and particularly reusable packaging systems. Customers include those from the fields of energy technology as well as pump and plant engineering, who receive precisely manufactured packaging systems, including CNC-milled interiors and foam inlays, for their high-quality products.
