14. May 2024The EPG (Ehrhardt Partner Group) has expanded its proven LYDIA Voice Demo App for Android and iOS devices with new features from Release 9.1. The Android version has already had the capability to recognize multiple languages simultaneously (Multilanguage Recognition) for some time. This has now also been made available for the iOS app. Additionally, the app for both operating systems has been enhanced with Multilanguage Output – a highlight in the new LYDIA Release 9.1.
(Boppard) Users can now assign multiple languages not only for recognition but also for audio output. In this context, the iOS app has been completely redeveloped and visually improved. Logistics managers have the opportunity to comprehensively test all new features in the demo app before going live. The new versions are available for free on Google Play and the Apple Store.
The LYDIA Voice Demo App allows users to comfortably test all the advantages of voice-controlled order picking on an Android or iOS mobile device: Users are guided step by step through the voice process and can simulate a real order picking process – from starting the order to confirming the storage location and picking the items – with LYDIA Voice even before going live, allowing them to experience the quality and efficiency.
Test Multilanguage Recognition and Multilanguage Output via App
A unique advantage of LYDIA Voice is the simultaneous recognition of multiple languages (Multilanguage Recognition). The benefit: Multinational teams can easily operate LYDIA Voice in the native language of all team members and thus work productively right away. This highlight is now also available for testing and trying out in the demo app. Users can select up to five languages simultaneously from 25 options. LYDIA Voice 9.1 even supports more than 50 languages in productive operation. In the latest version of the demo app, logistics managers now also have the opportunity to test the “Multilanguage Output” feature. This allows users of LYDIA Voice to assign multiple languages not only for recognition but also for audio output. Switching languages is easily possible via voice command. This significantly saves companies time when onboarding non-native speakers. At the same time, usability is increased.
Not only can the output language be switched via voice command. With the LYDIA Voice Demo App, users fully utilize the capabilities of the voice-only principle, as process control is 100% voice input. Service commands, such as volume control and speed adjustments by speaking percentage values, are easily possible, and even turning the microphone on and off can be controlled by voice. This allows users to keep their hands free throughout the entire process – a decisive advantage of LYDIA Voice that can be tested in the demo app.
