E.I.S. Euro Industry Ensures Safety on Sites and in Halls
20. July 2024Rhenus Warehousing Solutions has won the fashion chain C&A as a client for the Hückelhoven location. C&A will now utilize Rhenus’s services for consolidation and deconsolidation and will use the site as a central hub for its European activities.
(Holwickede/Hückelhoven/Düsseldorf) As one of the leading providers of clothing, C&A currently operates 1,300 stores in Europe. The family-owned company is now leveraging the expertise and experience of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions at the Hückelhoven site for the consolidation and deconsolidation of its goods, which arrive in Hückelhoven, among other ways, by sea freight. Overall, the site serves as a central hub for C&A in Europe and services all European distribution centers. “The fashion market is currently undergoing a significant transformation – moving away from long-term planned collections towards demand-oriented production.
This also presents new, significantly more complex demands on logistics. After the initial discussions, it was clear to us that Rhenus, and particularly the team in Hückelhoven, has the right competencies and customer orientation to collaborate with us and achieve our goals in this challenging environment,” recalls Alvaro Ranz, Head of Inbound Logistics and Supply Planning at C&A. The modern logistics center features 120,000 square meters of warehouse space and is ideally located near important transport hubs close to the Dutch border. In the multi-user facility, the logistics service provider serves the e-commerce, electronics & high-tech, industrial, consumer goods, pharmaceutical & healthcare, as well as retail & fashion sectors.
Confirmation of Service Quality
“We are very proud to welcome C&A as a new client and look forward to a successful long-term partnership,” says Andreas Mayer, a member of the management board at Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Germany. “The commitment of such an internationally operating company to handle its warehousing logistics through our Hückelhoven site is a confirmation of the quality of our services and our infrastructure.” At the same time, the cooperation with C&A has positive effects on the Hückelhoven region: numerous new jobs are being created, contributing to the strengthening of the local economy. With this cooperation, Rhenus and C&A are reinforcing their commitment to advanced logistics solutions.
