24. September 2024Starting October 1, 2024, Christian Späth will take over as CEO of Cargo sous terrain (CST). He will seamlessly continue the successful project review and restructuring of CST to lead the generational project into the next phase. The experienced infrastructure manager and civil engineer Christian Späth joins CST after 12 years at Implenia. He was born in 1968 in Munich and trained as a civil engineer at the Technical University of Munich.
Christian Späth has over 25 years of international professional experience in the civil engineering sector, including 15 years in leadership positions. Since 2012, he has been working at the leading Swiss construction and real estate service provider Implenia. Until the end of August 2024, Christian Späth served as Head of Civil Engineering and was a member of the Implenia Executive Committee, part of the corporate management team.
Since the end of June 2024, the CST team has been working purposefully on a project review, based on newly defined priorities and requirements that emerged from the spatial planning hearing. Christian Späth will continue this work seamlessly and align the project consistently with the needs of customers, sustainability, and the requirements of cities, municipalities, and cantons. The interim CEO Stefan Schraner will hand over overall leadership to Christian Späth and transition to the role of CFO.
Successfully leading towards implementation
