28. September 2024The term is new, but the business model and contacts remain the same: The former “neska Container Line B.V.” is now operating under the name “HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland B.V.” based in Dordrecht. This underscores the company’s affiliation with the Cologne-based HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH. The new concept was presented yesterday Thursday to customers, business partners, and stakeholders during a joint event in Rotterdam.
(Köln/Rotterdam) The Dutch logistics service provider has been organizing container transports by inland vessel and rail between the major ARA seaports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and the container terminals of HGK Logistics and Intermodal on the Rhine and Ruhr since 1988. HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland B.V. focuses on the efficient integration of inland shipping, rail, and truck for its container transport services. The company offers customers a complete package for handling imports and exports. Support is available, among other things, for organizing import declarations or transit documents. Real-time data is available, so customers are always informed about location and time windows. These services lead to better planning, time savings, and avoidance of delays.
More than just symbolic significance
“I am very pleased that the company, with its renaming to ‘HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland B.V.,’ is now also officially part of the HGK Group. This means more to us than just a symbolic significance,” explains Markus Krämer, CEO of HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH. He adds: “HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland B.V. is a central part of our service offering with its expertise in container transport by water, which we provide as a group around Supply Chain and Warehousing Solutions.”
Emphasizing group affiliation
With the name change, the HGK Group also emphasizes the importance of seaport connections for the intermodal logistics activities of HGK Logistics and Intermodal GmbH. Hans Buytendijk, Managing Director of “HGK Logistics and Intermodal Nederland B.V.”, emphasizes: “Supply chains are becoming increasingly complex. We see ourselves as the interface between the seaports and the hinterland.” The container transports along the Rhine will continue to be organized and carried out by the location in Dordrecht under the brand “HGK Container Line.”
