DHL Express Introduces New Labeling for Package Returns
Oct 15, 2024 at 2:27 PMThe Economic Makers showcase exciting logistics internships and offer young people an interesting opportunity. From the internship positions offered by participating companies, the initiative highlights three opportunities and promotes them prominently on social media. The top three include internships at DHL Freight, GROUP7, and Seifert Logistics Group.
(Frankfurt/Munich) An internship that consists only of copying and making coffee? That is not only boring but also discourages potential career starters. In logistics, exciting internships and holiday jobs are part of the norm. In recent months, the Economic Makers sought attractive internship offers through a survey among their participants – from the submissions, the initiative selected three winners that will now be publicly promoted. All three companies have in common that their internships go far beyond the usual level of insights and opportunities for involvement: from additive manufacturing with 3D printing to the use of drones in the warehouse to the field of human resources, they create a desire for more. The three companies also receive free analog and digital advertising materials from the Economic Makers, which can be used to attract professionals.
Involved in the operational business from the start
For students who want to gain interesting insights into the personnel work of a globally operating logistics company, DHL Freight offers a special internship position at the Global Head Office in Bonn. Here, the eager learners interact with people from all areas of the company. They learn how to identify and promote talents early, assist in the creation of important documents, and are involved in the operational daily business from the very beginning.
Anyone who has always wanted to gain practical experience in connection with a major German airport will find the internship at GROUP7 in the area of warehouse logistics to be the right address. In addition to receiving and inspecting goods, interns also gain insights into conducting quality controls, the use of drones in the warehouse, and learn more about the analysis and optimization of existing logistics processes.
Want to take a peek into additive manufacturing? The Seifert Logistics Group invites interns in the Business Development area with a focus on 3D printing to proactively contribute to the further development of the business area. Interns can work on marketing strategies for customers and produce plastic parts using 3D printing. Quality control and identifying potential areas for improvement are also part of the tasks.
It is worth discovering the world of logistics
“The message is clear: It is worth discovering the world of logistics. Compared to other economic sectors, we see a variety of exciting internship positions here that convey a real understanding of the future job as well as the diversity of logistics as a whole,” explains Economic Makers spokesperson Berit Börke. “With the Mega Internship, we have created an innovative format to bring this more into the public eye. Exciting challenges await the interns – and it is also fun!”
