SWAN GmbH connects AutoStore to SAP EWM
Nov 5, 2024 at 6:19 PMThe MedTriX Group AG and the Logismedia Group AG have reached an agreement. As of November 1, 2024, the International Transport Journal (ITJ) and its associated media ITJ Daily, Swisstrans, Worldtrans, and the Swiss Shipping Guide, including all rights and obligations, will be transferred to the Logismedia Group AG. This is an asset deal. Both companies are based in Basel.
(Basel) As of November 1, 2024, MedTriX Group AG will transfer all rights and obligations of the titles International Transport Journal (ITJ), ITJ Daily, Swisstrans, Worldtrans, and the Swiss Shipping Guide to Logismedia Group AG. A large part of the employees will be taken over.
Oliver Kramer, CEO of MedTriX Group AG: “As part of MedTriX Group AG’s focus on medical media and digital transformation, we have decided to divest the ITJ and its associated titles. The new Logismedia Group AG primarily focuses on media in the fields of logistics, supply chain, and transport. The activities of the ITJ fit perfectly into this.”
Andreas Müller, Publishing Director of Logismedia Group AG: “The title group around the ITJ fits well with our existing portfolio, which includes Loginfo24, the PHARMALOGISTICS magazine, transport.ch magazine (from November Swisstrans magazine), and the BdKEP magazine. The International Transport Journal, which celebrated its 85th anniversary this year, will be the flagship of the new group.”
Tradition and Modernity
The International Transport Journal has been disseminating information from around the world for 85 years, adapting both its content and presentation to the times over the years. The ITJ is the only magazine in the logistics and transport industry that reports globally across all modes of transport and in multiple languages.
“The ITJ is published as a print edition, as an e-paper, and is complemented by a daily newsletter linked to the website. We, as Logismedia, want to meet this commitment, taking market conditions into account,” explains Andreas Müller.
Smooth Transition is Ensured
To ensure a smooth transition, MedTriX will provide technical and administrative support to Logismedia in the first months. Editorial and content responsibility will be transferred to Logismedia as of November 1, 2024.
The editor-in-chief of the International Transport Journal and its associated titles will remain Andreas Haug, who has been working for the magazine for over 20 years. This ensures content continuity as well. The proven sales team and other employees from the administration will also move to the new publisher. From December 1, 2024, 6 employees will work for Logismedia.
